Good-bye, fry sauce!

We bought a house last year and have slowly been making it into a home. I still haven't really decorated yet, and it's driving me crazy. I didn't want to get too comfortable and put even more holes in the walls because the paint had to go. You see, we had this nasty, brownish pink, fry sauce looking paint that was absolutely EVERYWHERE! The ceilings, the walls, the trim, the doors, even on the wood floors! We've had it oozing out of our ears for nearly a year.

Project Fry Sauce began last fall when we started to cover it up in the main living areas, but winter came on a little too suddenly and we became very busy with the holidays. We had to postpone the rest of our house until now. We both work at elementary schools and had spring break coming up--more like spring weekend, but still, we knew we would have several days off in a row and decided to take the opportunity to begin painting again. We are in the middle of it now. I am sitting here in my classic paint-speckled jeans, watching the paint dry while my husband is working with his dad on our sprinklers (yet another never-ending project). We're really liking the new color. Reminds us of Eggnog, which may not sound much better than fry sauce, but trust me, it is.

Here are a couple of before and after shots of our master bedroom.
