12 Months
12 Months? 1 year? Can that actually be true!? It's hard to believe that this time last year we were welcoming a precious little baby to the world and to our family and embarking on one of the greatest adventures of our lives, called parenthood. We have experienced some of the richest moments this year as we've gotten to know Olivia, with her playful personality, sweet kisses and contagious giggles. She teaches and brightens us everyday and we are so excited and feel greatly blessed to continue watching her grow during the years to come!
Happy 1st Birthday, Olivia!
In case you wanted to know, this month:
- Peek-a-Boo is in! The funny thing is, she started off covering her nostrils instead of her eyes! She has since figured it out, but I secretly prefer her old way of doing it :P
- She likes to play another game where she looks at you and then quickly turns her head and looks away.
- Signing has taken off--all done, music, milk, thank you and yes are the new signs to add to the list. And she can string signs together like, eat, cracker, and then she points to the food. It is so helpful for us, come meal time to know what she wants and I am so glad we started signing with her! The last couple of days she has also been attempting Grandma, Grandpa, Poppy, and Nanny.
- She 'quacks' now when playing with her rubber ducky in the bathtub and can kind of make a monkey sound, too.
- She took her first steps this month! Richard and I were just saying how cool it would be if she walked before her first birthday and then within a minute or two, she walked!
- Another tooth appeared last week. Bottom left.
- If dancing wasn't enough, she also lip syncs to music. Funniest thing ever!

No way, how time flies! She is such a cutie with a BIG personality. You two are so lucky; I love the pictures you took and way to go on walking Olivia!!
ReplyDeleteBTW: bbrrrrr, but good for your for braving Temple Square. We never did make it there this year.
We almost didn't make it to Temple Square, but thought she might fair better this year than next...she'll have more of an opinion on the cold next year and will be able to voice it :)
