Can't Stand the Heat

 It's not surprising that our 24 year old furnace/AC would decide to die in the middle of July, but surprising or not it was one of the longest, hottest, most miserable weeks of our lives. The kids and I spent most of the days spraying each other down with the squirt bottle, sucking on ice cubes and popsicles, and lying around in the basement doing as little as possible.

It. was. unbearable!

On top of that, our Caravan's AC wasn't working either. We couldn't get relief on the road or at home. If that wasn't enough, our washing machine broke down. So on the same day we were having our AC unit installed, the washer repairmen came and just for good measure the solar guy stopped by at the same time.

 All was set right though and our house has never felt so cool!
