11 Months

We see less and less of a baby and more and more of a toddler. This month our 'toddler':
  • is a curious, busy little body and on the go until she crashes for nap or bedtime. Everything still has to undergo her mouth-inspection.
  • signs 'more' pretty regularly and has signed dad, all done, eat, and milk. She is picking it up quick with Olivia helping to reinforce. In fact, I would say Olivia is more the teacher and we're just the back up because most of the time she won't sign for us but will right after Olivia shows her.
  • says dad or more accurately hidad (hi Dad). The other day Richard got home from work and she said it repeatedly and crawled over to him. He picked her up and she hugged him and kept saying 'hidad.' Then she waved to him. So cute!
  • wants her voice to be heard. She's become really assertive and aggressive and we've been wondering where it's coming from. But then we remember she has a big sister.
  • folds her arms to get ready for prayer. She is usually ready before Olivia is.
  • gives hi-fives.
  • makes a funny guttural staccato noise like a horse neighing and mimics us laughing where she wrinkles her nose and breathes heavy thru her mouth and nose.
  • loves to hang out under the table, walking from chair to chair.
  • loves being anywhere we are.
