Kennewick Washington

My sister and I planned a trip to Kennewick, Washington to see our parents who are serving a mission. Richard had Spring Break but needed to use that time for lesson prep so he stayed home. Olivia came with us. She has never done a road trip so I was a little nervous. But she was such a good little traveler!

 

In keeping with our longtime Cockerham family tradition, we ate at Cracker Barrel on the way.

Perfectly named, this was truly the playground of your dreams! And interestingly enough, it was designed and paid for by volunteers and built in 5 days! We planned on only staying 15 or 20 minutes but ended up playing for an hour or so. 

There was so much to see and do, it was hard to know where to begin...

Basin City

My Mom grew up in a small town about an hour North of where they're serving their mission. They took us on a fun drive to see some of the places she remembers.

The LDS church that she helped to build. She remembers passing bricks in an assembly line with other Primary children.

The elementary school she attended.

The house my Grandpa built--they were raising eight kids in here at one time!
