7 Months

At 7 months our little Elle Belle. . .

• has started jabbering and vocalizing "Da-da" "Ba-ba" and other sounds. She loves to squeal and sing. And when she wants something, instead of crying she just sort of whines and pouts. It's pitiful but adorable.
• gets around fast and easy by rolling. She rotates on her belly, can scoot backwards and does push-ups of all things!
• looks so big now sitting in her highchair, the stroller and shopping cart.
• is eating lots of solid foods now and loves puffs!
• is becoming more attached to mom and dad. She gets pretty concerned when I leave the room or at certain times when I try to give her to someone she doesn't know very well.
• finally figured out how to suck her thumb! We really didn't even work with her much on it. A few weeks ago she had been waking up at 4ish in the morning and wanting to nurse to get back to sleep. Most of the time we would let her cry it out, only to give in to her in the end. By the 5th day of this I was going crazy and started sticking her thumb in her mouth. After one or two nights of this, she caught on. And once she did, she started sleeping 11 or 12 hours a night. It has been glorious to get 8 hours of sleep again!
