Virginia is for Lovers - Part II

There's an old slogan, Virginia is For Lovers.

And with enough babysitters available to watch your kids, I believe it! My love and I were able to spend a lot of quality time together. We hiked, went tubing and relaxed on a river hammock.

On one of the days my dad dropped us off several miles up the road and we canoed back. We figure it was at least 6 miles away.

We had so much fun and saw some beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way. We rarely get to be alone anymore and it was so fun.

Another day we all traveled up the road to one our favorite spots, The Humpback Bridge. Something new to us was this monument they built using materials from around the area. It spells LOVE using a tree that branches out to make the letter V. It was perfect for pictures.

And little E

We took this picture last time we were here just a year after we got married. Two kids later and the silhouette looks a bit different.

Playing in the water, or in Olivia's case tolerating the water.
