Day 3: Capilano Suspension Bridge

Well, one thing is always certain and that is uncertainty. We planned this trip mainly around the weather in Vancouver which is known to be very wet throughout most of the year. But if you look closely at this chart there is one little month that remains somewhat dry. And so July was chosen as the month.

 

But what this chart doesn't tell you is that sometimes it's just going to rain anyway. And so it did on day three of our stay. We woke up to dark ominous clouds and drizzling rain and were more than a little discouraged, but because this was our last full day in Vancouver and we really wanted to see the bridge, we decided to set out on this next adventure anyway.

We didn't complain about the rain for long because after all that's what makes it so lush and green here.

 

 

If you couldn't tell, we're really wet!

 

We were chilled and soaked through by the time we were done but we had a marvelous time walking through the treetops. We rested at the hotel for a few hours and changed for dinner. 

We had seen this little Italian restaurant on the North Shore our first day and wanted to go back and try it out. The quaint atmosphere made me think of Lady and the Tramp. 

And we even ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs. So romantic!

After dinner we went window shopping at The Park Royal Village. We came around a corner and were surprised to see Home Depot but especially to see it looking so cute.

Richard gets just a little excited when we go to the Home Depot.
