Day 8: The Empress, Parliament Building, and Marina

We went on a really great (free) tour of the Parliament Building. Our tour guide really knew her stuff and it was fun to learn about BC Provincial Government.

I could get used to this city. They really take their ice cream, or Gelato to be exact, seriously and it's even an art. We didn't have any but it was sure fun to look at. Just imagine if we had actually tried some.

We went back around 10pm to see the Parliament Building all lit up. It was constructed in honor of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and they placed lights on the building to represent diamonds. Spectacular!
