Valentine's Day
The girls were old enough this year to make Valentine's Day really fun. They gave Valentines to their friends and we went around delivering them and for days beforehand they helped me cut up hearts and make Valentines for Daddy. We took him on a heart hunt around the house. Unfortunately we only had white paper so it wasn't as bright and festive as it could have been but still really fun. And the important thing was we surprised him!
The heart hunt lead him to the basement where a whole big pile of Valentines were waiting along with a giant heart brownie.
Then Dad surprised me with plans for dinner. He had brought home groceries so we could all make a big breakfast dinner together. The best part was the little squeeze bottle he bought and he colored the pancake batter pink so we could make heart pancakes.
I got a little fancy with some of them. I think I'm going to like this thing.
The sausage and bacon were the bow and arrow.
Then after the kids went to bed the surprises kept coming. We enjoyed a nice evening with sparkling cider, popcorn and a movie!
The Friday before we went to our Stake Valentine Dance. It's always a lot of fun!
