Halloween

Halloween was great this year! We always have a lot of fun dressing up but getting Olivia involved made it all the better!

We took her Trick or Treating for the first time! She's a little young and we're a little old but somehow, it just works. I mean, someone had to check her candy, right?

As it turns out, babies aren't supposed to eat candy {what?} so Richard and I will have to eat hers. Darn. It's a sacrifice we're willing to make for our daughter.

Trying out her costume...I just love those floppy ears!
All ready to go

Little Boy Blue, Little BoPeep and their Little Sheep/Lamb or as Richard likes to say, 'The neglectful parents who lost their sheep.' :/
We only made it to a few houses. Who knew walking around the block, in full costume, carrying an almost 10 month old, could be so tiring? Actually, our main goals were to give Olivia a small dose of Halloween and visit our neighbors and we did both. It was fun to see everyone out enjoying the warm weather. We went home, had a late dinner and put Olivia to bed.

Here's what we collected...notice the baby food? We actually got that from someone! I guess Olivia will get to eat some of her stash, after all :)
What we handed out to the Trick-or-Treaters
The good stuff we saved for ourselves
After we put Olivia down, Richard quickly finished up his lesson planning for the night and we enjoyed some popcorn, a movie, and a few candy bars.

Happy Halloween!
